Today marks the First day of Advent. While it's not something that we traditionally did as kids, aside from having one of the fun Advent Calendars to mark down the 24 Days of Christmas and a much more elaborate one of these Swedish Angel Chimes:

Though the whole St. Lucia tradition isn't something I remember doing as a kid - sure, the Lucia Day Feast on December 13th, but beyond that we didn't follow a lot of the traditions, rather following the 'Americanized' traditions instead. It doesn't matter what we do, Princess Nagger loves anything and everything having to do with Christmas - and all the fun it entails. Although I bet she'd get a kick out of wearing a wreath on her head with candles!
