Hope all of you that celebrated Thanksgiving last week had a great one! Ours was nice and quiet and mostly relaxing, if you don't count the time spent in the kitchen creating the feast, and the time after the inhalation of said feast to do all the clean up. Which means it was relaxing for Hovering Hubby and Princess Nagger.
I did successfully pick up all the last minute things last Tuesday that I needed for Thursday, but then remembered that Princess Nagger and Hovering Hubby actually do like that jellied cranberry stuff in a can rather than the fresh cranberry sauce I prefer.
Of course I forgot to pick that up, and found out that the cat food was almost gone, too. After I had already gotten home from my last-minute trip.
I was tempted just for grins to call hubby at work and ask him to stop and get the canned cranberry sauce and cat food on the way home. Can you imagine what the cashier would have thought? I didn't, though, I just subjected Princess Nagger to a last-last minute trip on Wednesday instead.
It's only Tuesday, and it's already been a busy week. As of right now, my Christmas tree still looks like this:
Princess Nagger's 3D
I need to add an attic and roof as well as front and back porches to the 3D house, then when Princess Nagger gets home from school today, she can paint it so the paint will be dry by the time she leaves for school tomorrow, and we can finally put the decorations on the tree.
I promised her I would not start putting on the decorations until she's home, which won't be a hard promise to keep, because it'll take a while to string the lights. I'll share pictures of both finished projects tomorrow. Hopefully.
At least we'll be finishing up on a high note. Literally. At the top of the tree.
